Jennifer Kouzi has over a decade of family law experience litigating and negotiating contested divorces in Supreme Court, custody and support petitions in family court, post-judgment matters and appeals. She also has extensive experience handling uncontested divorces and mediating and arbitrating matrimonial and family law disputes. Jennifer is a founding partner of a law firm located in midtown Manhattan.
Jennifer chose to focus her practice in family law because it affords her the ability to strategize and use creative thinking to solve difficult issues for clients that otherwise seem insurmountable. Apart from the standard issues found in most divorces, Jennifer is interested in the ways social media impacts the process, noting that an ill-timed email, Facebook post or Instagram photo can have dire consequences, particularly during litigation.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Rochester, and from the Temple University School of Law. She has been named a 2014 Super Lawyer and Top Woman Attorney in the New York metropolitan area. Previously, she was honored as a 2012 and 2013 Super Lawyers “Rising Star.” Jennifer also sits on two non-profit boards, and has provided pro bono legal aid for a non-profit organization supporting women who were placed in arranged marriages.
In her spare time, she enjoys international travel, hiking, and spending time with her husband and three children.
