Maxine has been practicing divorce and family law in New York City for over 15 years. While she takes pride in her abilities as a family law trial attorney, she knows first-hand how financially and emotionally depleting litigation can be on the parties and their families. That’s why she joined SnapDivorce; she firmly supports its mission to help couples resolve matters efficiently and out of court. Maxine believes divorce and its related issues are better resolved through well-crafted personalized agreements, mediated between the parties, rather than by decisions and orders rendered by a judge. Maxine brings a wealth of experience, legal knowledge, and compassion to each case that she handles.
“Mediation should be the standard way to resolve divorce and family law matters – the first resort. Litigation, in contrast, should only be considered as the last resort.”
In addition to mediating cases for SnapDivorce, Maxine maintains a successful divorce and family law practice in Midtown Manhattan. She also enjoys taking road trips and exploring used bookstores whenever she has a chance.
