Michael Hiller is a Texas Board Certified family lawyer who has 32 years of legal experience in divorce. He was one of the first lawyers in Texas to become a mediator, 31 years ago, and attended the very first training in collaborative divorce held in Texas. Michael is passionate about helping families make decisions together for themselves to resolve their divorce amicably, efficiently, and out of the courtroom.
Michael’s extensive experience as a divorce litigation attorney and collaborative mediator, along with his holistic approach make him uniquely qualified to reach creative solutions that meet the needs of divorcing couples and children. Michael believes the mediation process empowers couples to craft win-win solutions addressing co-parenting, parenting time, child support, and the division of marital assets.
Michael loves the mediation process. It’s designed to keep your financial and personal cost in check by being an all-in-one, start-to-finish process. Michael has seen the devastating effects of litigation on families and children and favors mediation. This process gets you through mediation and the legal system without the stress and expense normally associated with divorce.
Michael has been ranked in the top 1% of attorneys in the nation by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, is credentialed by Mediate.com, Collaborative Divorce Texas, and is a founding member of The American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators (AACFL).
In his free time, Michael enjoys working out, movies and music, sports, and “driving in the hills.” Michael is a family man. He has been married for almost 40 years to his wife Minette and has three children.
