As an experienced divorce attorney, Autumn N. Hancock has seen firsthand the financial and emotional toll that divorce litigation takes on families. She likewise deeply understands the benefits that alternative dispute resolution and mediation offers to families in conflict. That is what inspired Autumn to become a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator.

Mediation allows divorcing couples to craft their own solutions and to work together to resolve their divorce.

As a mediator, Autumn has been able to give parties the tools to craft their own solutions to their problems and to work together to make the important decisions that will shape the future of their family. Autumn has a passion for helping families work through the difficult transition of divorce.

In addition to working as a mediator with SnapDivorce, Autumn practices adoption and family law in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is an Adjunct Professor of legal studies at St. Petersburg College. Prior to founding her own law firm, Autumn gained litigation experience working with juveniles at the State Attorney’s Office and in private practice focusing on family law, real estate litigation, criminal law, bankruptcy, and civil litigation.

Throughout her education and her career, Autumn has remained very active in her community. She volunteers her time with many organizations, including Wills for Heroes, Lawyers for Young Adults Project, Community Law Program, Lunch Pals, Guardian ad Litem, and serves as a Board Member for the St. Petersburg Bar Association and as the Journal Editor for the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Outside of her work with families, Autumn’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her two young sons and her husband. Autumn loves scuba diving, traveling, working on art projects with her kids, taking walks around the neighborhood, shopping, riding her Peloton bike, exploring new towns, and spending time laughing with friends.
